MPTA hosted its 35th Annual Meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 16 in Kansas City, MO as a part of the Midwest Transit Conference. MPTA members elected the following individuals to the MPTA Board for two-years terms beginning January 1, 2017:
- Karen Clawson Mid America Regional Council
- Jake Jacobs Developmental Disability Services of Jackson County
- Matt Kauffman Kansas City Regional Transit Alliance
- Cindy Baker Kansas City Area Transportation Authority
- Robert Lolley City of Joplin
- Courtney Harrison SERVE, Inc.
- Kelly Turner City Utilities of Springfield
- Dorothy Yeager OATS
MPTA President Cindy Baker then presented the slate of officers for 2017, “It has been an honor to work with these individuals and I know as I move to Past-President this new slate will make great strides for transit in Missouri.”

- Kelly Turner, Director of Transit at City Utilities of Springfield, Secretary/Treasurer
- Cindy Baker, Chief Communications Officer for the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority, Past President
The slate was elected by a unanimous vote. Past President Tom Mogelnicki was recognized for his work and dedication to MPTA. “Tom was a driving force to ensure rural transit had a seat at the table. Thank you Tom for your work and dedication,” said Baker.
