Join the Missouri Public Transit Association on January 27 for this critical training on de-escalation techniques for operators with safety and security a top priority for Missouri transit providers.
This 3-hour course led by William Parsons teaches operators and front-line supervisors how to quickly, effectively, and compassionately de-escalate virtually any situation from a frustrated rider to an openly hostile and aggressive individual. This course was specifically designed for transportation professionals to provide them with a virtual toolbox of simple, effective, and street tested communication and de-escalation techniques and tools they can employ to professionally handle any situation they may face while enhancing their personal safety on the coach or platform.
In addition, students will learn strategies to effectively master their own emotional states, remain calm and centered in any situation, and make better communication and safety decisions even under great stress.
