LEGISLATIVE ACTION ITEM: MO Transit Investment Heads to Conference Committee

With two weeks left in the Missouri 2025 Legislative Session, transit investment heads to the Conference Committee. Last week, the Senate included additional funding for state transit assistance in HB4. The Senate approved $20M in General Revenue and $1.7M in State Transportation Funds for a total of $21.7M. This is significantly more than the $7.7 million approved by the Missouri House. The bills have now been sent to Conference where differences between the House and Senate versions will be negotiated between the five conferees from each chamber. Last year, transit operating assistance was at $11.7 million.

We would urge you to reach out to the House conferees in the next few days urging them to adopt the Senate position on the transit items. Specifically, those funds in Section 4.535.

House conferees are Dirk Deaton, Bishop Davidson, Donnie Brown, Betsy Fogle and Nick Kimble.
