Joplin’s Sunshine Lamp Trolley is set to return to service in February 2025. Operating hours will be Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. through 6 p.m. Fare will be priced at $1, and the city will offer the same three trolley routes that were previously offered. Once service has stabilized, the City of Joplin will look to add a Saturday schedule as well.
The Sunshine Lamp Trolley closed more than two years ago due to a lack of both drivers and dispatchers. Once the service reopens in February, Joplin residents will once again be able to use the service for their work commute, to run errands and attend appointments, or for personal errands.
