The Federal Transit Administration recently named Carrie Butler as the new Regional Administrator for Region VII.
Butler has over 25 years of service in the public transportation industry in both the public and private sectors. She most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the Transit Authority of River City, in Louisville, KY. She also previously served as the General Manager of Lextran in Lexington, KY. Butler has been involved in the national public transportation community, serving on the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Board of Directors as well as other committees and ad-hoc working groups. She’s also served as a Transit Cooperative Research Program panel member on several research panels.
