ISU students pay a fee included in tuition and have a "free fare" program where they only have to show their student ID card to ride the busses. McDavid, other city officials, and MU students learned about CyRide on a visit to Ames to look at the transit system and obtain inspiration for improving Columbia's own public transportation.
