MoDOT seeks Opinions for Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) wants to hear from you to better understand pedestrian needs in the greater Kansas City area. MoDOT and its planning partners need help identifying issues, needs, and locations for pedestrian and bicycle travel ways along MoDOT's roads.

MoDOT has created a survey to better understand the pedestrian needs in the greater Kansas City area. Individuals can take the pedestrian survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/Pedestrian_Survey. If you do not have access to a computer, you can call 888-ASK-MODOT for a mailed copy of the survey. If you also bicycle, you can also take a separate bike survey by going to www.surveymonkey.com/s/bike_survey.

MoDOT, in a collaborative effort with the Mid America Regional Council, city representatives, and members of the biking community, has formed the Pedestrian-Bicycle Study Team. This group has been working together to develop a pedestrian and bicycle plan for the district that identifies and prioritizes roads needing pedestrian and bicycle improvements on the MoDOT transportation system. MoDOT generally maintains interstates, numbered highways and lettered routes. Many roads in the area are taken care of by the local city or county.
