Columbia Using Stimulus Money to Replace Buses

Columbia is awaiting approval of over one million dollars in grant funding from stimulus money from the Federal Transit Adminstration to be used for new busses.  Eighty percent of the money needed would come from the grant, and the rest of the funding would come from the city's transportation sales tax.  Columbia is greatly overdue for new busses in its fleet–for more on this, see the rest of the story in the Columbia Tribune here.
