MPTA Education Series Presents Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution Training

Don’t miss this unique training for anyone in the transit industry.  The Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution Training (OEND) training covers a variety of information to assist in allowing persons to learn more about several areas concerning addiction and overdoses. Topics that will be covered include:
  • What is Addiction,
  • The Changing Landscape of Drug Use,
  • Saving Lives / Using Harm Reduction,
  • Opioid Overdoses,
  • and Resources.

Those attending will be informed on existing efforts to combat the opioid crisis and legislative protections for naloxone use and dispensing, as well as learn how to correctly identify and respond to an overdose event, including how to administer naloxone, and how to prevent future overdoses. The program is supported by Prevent+Ed and the DOTS Project at the Missouri Institute of Mental Health at the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
