Selena Barlow, Transit Marketing
Selena Barlow, sole proprietor of Transit Marketing, has more than 30 years of experience marketing and planning public transportation services throughout the U.S. As the name implies, Transit Marketing specializes in developing marketing plans, brands, and campaigns for transportation agencies. Selena has worked with dozens of small-urban and rural transit agencies throughout the nation. She’s also an experienced trainer, providing training at the state and national level in transit marketing, outreach, and market research. She regularly presents for CTAA, National RTAP, CalAct, and other state associations.
Elea Carey, Transit Happy
Elea Carey has 30 years of marketing experience, including introducing new marketing ideas in emerging environments. When the pandemic hit, she shuttered her Silicon Valley marketing consultancy, opened Transit Happy, and now exclusively serves public transit agencies nationwide. She develops strategic marketing plans, launches creative, PR, and paid-media campaigns, and implements marketing tactics on behalf of clients. Promoting transit to multilingual audiences is one of her greatest passions. Elea also teaches and trains small-urban and rural transit agencies on marketing best practices. She has recently presented to transit groups in New Mexico, California, and Arizona.
Tracy Jones, Southeast Missouri Transportation Service (SMTS)
Tracy Jones is the Executive Director of Southeast Missouri Transportation Service, Inc. (SMTS), overseeing one of the largest rural public transportation systems in the nation and the second largest in Missouri. Since her appointment in July 2024, she has led the organization’s strategic direction, operations, financial management, and service delivery. SMTS serves communities across the region with a team of over 175 employees and approximately $10 million in annual capital and operating revenue.
Ginny Smith, Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority
Ginny Smith is the Executive Director of the Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority, bringing more than 15 years of experience in the transportation industry. She has a proven track record in safety, compliance, and organizational growth, and is recognized for her strong leadership and ability to foster team success. Ginny’s expertise spans logistics management, conflict resolution, and effective communication, skills that have been essential to her accomplishments in the public transit sector.
