OATS Transit Employee Celebrates 50 Years

Sandy Nolan of High Ridge, MO, is being honored by OATS Transit for 50 years of service with the company on August 20, 2026. OATS Transit is a nonprofit company that serves much of the state of Missouri providing rural transportation.

Sandy started as a driver for the company in August 1976 and has held many job titles over the last 50 years. Currently, she is a driver in Jefferson County, Missouri, ensuring riders have access to community resources. “I find it hard to believe that I have been working for OATS Transit for 50 years, however when you have a job you truly love, it’s not. I’m thankful to be part of a company that has done so much for so many, and to be a part of the growth of this establishment,” said Sandy Nolan. OATS Transit was just five years in the making when Sandy started driving, and this year the company is turning 55.

For five decades, Sandy has been a familiar and trusted face at OATS Transit, providing safe, dependable transportation while making a difference in the lives of countless riders. “Throughout her career, Sandy has done a little bit of everything. From driving routes to helping in the office, Sandy has always been a team player who puts the needs of our riders and coworkers first,” said Pam Knox, Mideast Regional Director. ” Fifty years of service is an extraordinary accomplishment, and we are incredibly grateful for her loyalty, flexibility, and dedication,” added Knox.
