Former Metro GM and Transit Advocate Remembered

Thomas Sehr, former Metro Transit General Manager, passed away on July 5, 2026. Tom served 24 years at the Bi-State Development Agency. During his career with the agency, he held several leadership positions, including Deputy Executive Director and General Manager, before concluding his career as Executive Vice President of Administration. In addition, Tom served on the Missouri Public Transit Association Board and was a longtime member of Citizens for Modern Transit.

“Tom exemplified what it means to be a public servant. We are grateful for his dedication to transit in the St. Louis region and the state as a whole.  His leadership will not be forgotten,” said Kim Cella, CEO of Citizens for Modern Transit and the Executive Director of the Missouri Public Transit Association.
