As 2026 approaches, planning for the FIFA World Cup continues in Kansas City. In November, KC2026, the local planning team for the event, announced ConnectKC26, the official transportation service of the FIFA World Cup in Kansas City.

ConnectKC26 is dedicated to working alongside existing transit options across the region, creating a layered network that will ensure fans can move easily between matches, fan zones, and city attractions. Additionally, KCATA plans to run extra buses along the Kansas City Streetcar line to manage the flood of people attending the FIFA Fan Festival. 40 days of expanded service during the games is being planned for by KCATA officials.
