The National Rural Transit Assistance Program (National RTAP) will host their 6th National RTAP Conference, Wrangling Access and Mobility in Rural and Tribal Transit, in Austin, Texas, December 7-10, 2025. The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Austin.
The conference will feature 5 tracks, including:
- Administration and Compliance
- Coordination and Planning
- Operations and Technology
- Training and Guidance
- Innovations and Research
Workshops are planned as well, and will focus on the topics of Grant Writing, Financial Management, Planning, and more. Lillian Karabaic, host of Oregon Public Broadcasting’s Weekend Edition, is slated to deliver the keynote presentation.
Students are invited to submit posters for consideration through October 1. The conference will also exhibit the 2025 National RTAP Walk of Fame. The Walk of Fame is an event that recognizes exemplary staff in the rural and Tribal transit industry for their dedication, innovation, customer service, and professionalism. You may nominate an honoree by sending their name, title, transit agency, email address, phone number, a photograph of the individual, and a paragraph (500 character limit) about why they should be honored to info@nationalrtap.org. Honorees may be nominated through October 10.
