It’s membership renewal time at the MPTA. Transportation is key to moving Missouri forward. Through your membership in the Missouri Public Transit Association, you have an opportunity to make a difference for transit right here in Missouri. MPTA transit provider members provide more than 40 million rides annually, almost everywhere for everybody every day in Missouri, and they employ thousands in our communities. Through the work of the staff, board and our members, we are moving the organization to the next level in regard to education, advocacy for transit, and membership development.
Our goals in 2025 include:
- Increasing operational assistance for public transit providers;
- Increasing local/state capital funding assistance to ensure ability to draw down federal funds;
- Identifying additional collaborations/partnerships;
- Developing a statewide Transit Operator Apprentice Program;
- Continuing to oppose Conceal and Carry on transit.
