FTA Region 7 welcomed John Lynch as the Acting Deputy Regional Administrator on July 15. Lynch has served in multiple roles during his 10 years with the FTA. Previously, he served as Regional Counsel for 
Region 8, Regional Counsel for Region 7, and Acting Director of Planning and Program Development in Region 8.
During his time with the FTA Lynch has worked on projects in almost every region. Before joining the FTA Lynch served as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of Illinois, as well as working in private practice on construction defect, negligence, and liability claims.
