Michael Sokoff has joined the GoCOMO team as the Transit and Parking Manager in Columbia, MO. Sokoff previously worked at the University of Missouri – Columbia, where he has was in charge of Transit and Parking for the past nine years, prior to that, he was with the University of Oklahoma, in a similar role.
GoCOMO Transit and Parking Manager’s primary responsibilities include coordinating, planning, implementing, and supervising the parking utility and Columbia transit activities, including safety, facility maintenance, and compliance inspection. He will also be responsible for FTA grant applications, administering grant-funded programs, and coordinating project work with consultants and City/County departments as they relate to transit and parking functions.
GoCOMO, formerly Columbia Transit, is a city-owned public bus system that serves the city of Columbia, Missouri. Services include fixed-route services, on-call para-transit shuttles for the disabled, a system of commuter shuttles for students and employees of the University of Missouri, and hotel shuttles during MU football games.
