MPTA Elects Dale Lynn to its Board of Directors

The Missouri Public Transit Association (MPTA) recently announced the election of Dale Lynn, Transportation Superintendent for the City of Columbia, to its Board of Directors. He will serve a two-year term.

Lynn has been in the transportation industry for more than three decades. He began his career as the Manager of School Bus Services in Sedalia, Mo. He transferred to Columbia in 1989 to oversee transportation contract services for Columbia Schools. Following this role, Lynn began his employment within the City of Columbia and was promoted to Supervisor, where he worked to improve ADA Paratransit services. He now serves as Transportation Superintendent, overseeing Paratransit and Fixed-Route services, which together successfully transported over 1.1 million passengers more than 3.2 million miles in 2019. Lynn is also retired military personnel. He served 23.5 years in Army, 18 years of which were with Army Reserve.
