While driver safety is top of mind for Missouri transit providers, the De-Escalation and Drivers webinar, facilitated by Bi-State General Manager of System Safety & Security, Stephen Berry, included de-escalation techniques, driver safety improvements, and an opportunity to connect and share ideas with transit providers from across the state.
Berry, former deputy director of transit safety and workforce development at the Center for Urban Transportation Research and a former official with the Orlando transit system, is in charge of Metro Transit’s overall security and policing activities.
