City Utilities in Springfield, Missouri has installed temporary driver barriers to protect drivers during the COVID-19 outbreak. This is one of many steps that Missouri transit providers are taking across the state to combat the virus outbreak.
“We care about our drivers and our riders. These barriers are in place now to ensure the safety of our workforce and improve safety for our riders. Keeping our operators healthy is an important part of ensuring our ability to continue to provide service through this crisis. We need to be able to get people where they need to go for their essential trips,” said Matt Crawford, Transit Director at City Utilities.
