Camden County bus service rebranded to Tri-County Transit

tri county transit busIn the summer of 2017 OATS, Inc. partnered with Camden County Developmental Disability Resources to add another bus to system and offer additional night and weekend service. The bus officially has a new name and logo, and operates under the name Tri‐County Transit.

“The area around Camden County has had a need for more transportation services for quite some time”, said Jack Heusted, OATS Mid‐MO regional Director. “We now have 19 buses operating in Camden County alone. It’s not easy to get from one side of the Lake to the other without transportation due to the long distance, so that’s where OATS comes in,” added Heusted. Only one Camden County bus offers night and weekend service due to limited funding, but that is expected to grow thanks to a newly formed Lake Ozark Transportation Council made up of individuals from Camden, Miller and Morgan counties.
Fares for OATS service are $5 round‐trip within the city limits, $7 for county service and $9 for county-to‐county service. Residents may schedule rides by calling OATS MidMO Regional Office at (800)269‐ 6287 or (573)449‐3789.
