Cape Girardeau Downtown Trolley Opening Today!

Residents and visitors now have another way to get around Downtown Cape Girardeau. A new trolley service debuts today, July 13, 2017. The trolley started as a vision by Mayor Rediger in 2012 that has been brought to life by the partnership of various organizations working to revitalize Downtown Cape Girardeau. The Mayor noted his excitement about the project recently, “I am excited to see the free trolley come to fruition and help make it even more fun for residents and tourists to come downtown.”

The trolley will provide service on Thursdays from 4:00 p.m.- 11:00 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 p.m.- 11:00 p.m.  Rides will be free to those looking to explore Downtown Cape Girardeau with ease. The route, pictured below, will feature 7 stops to facilitate access between public parking and various attractions and businesses Downtown.

A kick-off event and ribbon cutting will take place on July 13, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at the corner of Broadway and Middle streets.
