MPTA Education Series turns focus to building ridership on MO systems

MPTA announces its next Educational Series Event scheduled for November 8, 2017: Thinking Outside the Ridership Box: Building Ridership for Missouri’s Transit System.”

The event will feature a panel of experts discussing innovative transportation programs offered in Missouri to build ridership on transit. Panelists include:

  • Jameson Auten, Chief of Regional Service Delivery and Innovations, Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA)
  • Dorothy Yeager, Executive Director, OATS
  • Chuck Welek, Corporate Manager, Enterprise Carshare

Programs discussed will include KCATA’s new Ride KC Freedom on-demand taxi-transit collaboration, OATS collaborations across MO, and Enterprise’s new products including Zimride and Carshare. The event will be held from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at OATS headquarters, 2501 Maguire Blvd., Suite 101, Columbia, MO 65201.

MPTA’s Educational Series was launched in 2016 in order to support MPTA’s individual and organizational members. The series features quarterly events focused on issues that transit providers and advocacy organizations encounter in the transit industry.
