Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) will hold two community meetings to discuss the planned Prospect MAX bus rapid transit (BRT) line:
• Wednesday, June 14, 4:30-6:30 p.m., Palestine Senior Activity Center, 3325 Prospect Ave.
• Thursday, June 15, 4:30-6:30 p.m., Beta Lambda Education Institute Building, 2915 Swope Pkwy., 3 blocks east of Prospect
The meetings will give bus riders, area residents and local business owners an update on funding, technologies and service plans for Prospect MAX. Technology planned for the bus rapid transit line includes smart kiosks, ticket vending machines, level boarding at MAX stations, emergency call buttons, and MAX station security cameras.
The meetings will follow an Open House format, and no formal presentation will be given. Attendees can learn about Prospect MAX’s features at any time during the 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. time frame.
Transit riders can take route 31 31st Street, 35 35th Street, 47 Broadway and 71 Prospect to the meetings.
