City Utilities in Springfield celebrates its riders during week of events June 13-17

City Utilities (CU) of Springfield has a special week planned for its riders next week as a part of Communities in Motion Week.  CU will recognize its transit riders next week, June 13-17, with daily events and activities.

“Communities in Motion Week is dedicated to connecting our community to the ways they can get around Springfield on The Bus,” said Kelly Turner, Director of Transit for CU.

Here’s this year’s lineup of events:

  • MONDAY, JUNE 13: A Sweet Start to the Week. Krispy Kreme donuts and coffee will be served at the Transit Center beginning at 6 a.m., and will be distributed free to customers as long as supplies last.
  • TUESDAY, JUNE 14: Saving Lives with a Blood Drive. Get on the path to save a life with The Bus blood drive. The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will be at the Transit Office located at 1505 Boonville from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • THURSDAY, JUNE 16: Dump the Pump Day. Save the Earth one day at a time. Leave your car at home and ride The Bus for FREE!
  • FRIDAY, JUNE 17: Trivia and Prizes on The Bus. Hop on The Bus throughout the day for your chance to answer trivia questions and win some great prizes from Mike the Intern of 104.7 The Cave.
