The Senate Appropriations Committee took up the MoDOT budget this week. During its discussion of the transit assistance funding they took the House position and closed the item including the increase in state transportation funds of $1,150,000.
Total appropriated last year was $1,060,875 in transit assistance funding. Total this year right now is $2,210,875. Breakdown in funding follows:
- General Revenue is $500,000 on both years.
- State transportation funds last year were $560,875 while this year, State transportation funds are $1,710,875
The Senate will confirm its approval when they adopt the Senate Committee Substitute for HB 2004 when it is voted out of committee. If the bill is not amended on the Senate floor, the item would be the same in the House and Senate versions of the bill. That would mean the funding item would not be an item for discussion in conference.
