HealthTran will be presenting at Stand Up for Transportation Day in West Plains on April 9. The agenda will include partner introductions, a new video highlighting riders, drivers, and providers, an updated power point presentation and an open forum for questions.
To show your support, I invite you to attend and be part of the partner introductions and forum. If you are a transit provider, fill a bus with riders and bring them over. I hope to have a vehicle from each provider parked in front of the building. If a health partner, send over some staff to see the big picture. What a great way to be seen and a wonderful picture opportunity! If you or a staff person will be attending, send me your title, and a 1-2 sentence introduction so I can be sure and include you.
Consider this a great opportunity to outreach to your local community leaders, board members, and others who support your agencies.
There should be media coverage as I have invited the local papers, radio and the Springfield television stations to attend. Invitations have been sent to Congressman Jason Smith, Senator Jay Wasson, Senator Mike Cunningham, and Senator Dave Sater , and Representatives Robert Ross, Don Phillips, Tony Dugger, and Lyle Rowland to attend or send a staff person to the event. Richard Eakin will be attending from Senator Cunningham’s office.
