OATS, Inc. Celebrates East Region Driver for 20 Years of Service

(Bridgeton, Missouri June 19, 2012) – Twenty years ago, Buddy Reynolds came to work for OATS, Inc. As a driver out of Franklin County, he has been providing people who are transportation-disadvantaged with rides to and from essential destinations such as doctors’ offices and grocery stores.

“This is not just a job, it is part of my everyday life,” Buddy says. There is a speical place in his heart for all of the riders on his bus, and he has grown very fond of them over the years he has been privileged to be their driver.

Buddy is well known for keeping his bus squeaky clean in order to create a pleasant and comfotable environment for the people that ride from Franklin County. “No one has ever had a bad word to say about Buddy,” Pat Stanley, Manager of the Franklin County Transportation Council says. “He is always smiling and is more than ready to lend a helping hand, either to the riders or with things around the office.”

Buddy has been married for 56 years to his wife Barb. They have resided in Union for many years. Both he and his wife share a tremendous amount of happiness watching their two grandchildren, as well as their two great-grandchildren, grow up. They are excited about their third great-grandchild that is currently on the way.

“I will keep going as long as I am able to do a good job,” Buddy says. Before working for OATS, Buddy was a retired employee from Chrysler.

Buddy stays very involved within his community, and he is always there for anyone needing assistance or help in any aspect of their lives. He enjoys going to and participating in auctions during his free time when he is not driving the OATS bus.
