OATS, Inc. Celebrates Southwest Regional Driver for 15 Years of Service

From OATS, Inc. Press Release:

(Springfield, Missouri, December 28, 2010) – John Davis, Southwest Region driver, began working for OATS, Inc. fifteen years ago, and refers to his career as “extremely rewarding”. John feels that driving for OATS allows him to do what he likes to do best – give back to people in need.

Having recently just turned 66 years old, John says when he has spare time he enjoys fishing, or time spent at home working on the computer. He also likes to build things, and is into RC model airplanes and large scale trains.

About OATS as an organization, Johns says, “I’ve never had a bad client get on the bus and get mad at me, and I like the people I work for. Everyone in the company is real nice and I just enjoy doing what I do everyday.”

Scott Kosky, Southwest Regional Director for OATS says, “John has always been a willing, dedicated driver who puts the service to OATS riders ahead of personal convenience.”

After 8 ½ years working for a newspaper and realizing he had no retirement benefits through them, John was seeking something conducive to a retirement lifestyle. He knew an OATS driver who was getting ready to retire, and spoke to her about an application. That's how John’s career with OATS began.

John says he’s always been the kind of person who likes to help other people and do for others, and finds OATS to be the best organization for such a cause. “I'm very cautious with my riders. I try hard every day to see that they are okay, and help them out the best I can. I'm kind of like a father figure because I make it a point to look after them,” says John.
