Article from Josephine Magazine:
A few months ago, we took the bus. Actually, the bus took us. And on that night, it was free.
My friend and neighbor Sarah, who has a remarkable gift for uncovering free, interesting things to do, called at 7:48 p.m. on St. Joseph Transit’s most recent “Dump the Pump” day. “Want to ride the bus somewhere tonight?” she asked.
I hesitated. Aren’t they kind of dirty? Would we get stuck somewhere for two hours or have to walk along dark sidewalks all the way home?
Then, summoning whatever shreds of spontaneity I still have left — wedged underneath layers of parental responsibility — I said, “Let’s do it.”
