Budget director: Stimulus, stabilization funds won't stop deep cuts
State officials this week offered a glimpse into how federal stimulus and stabilization funds are being used in Missouri. They also warned that the federal money would not be enough to ward off deep cuts in coming years.
State Budget Director Linda Luebbering said the federal dollars coming into Missouri from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act fall generally into two categories: funds to stabilize the state’s budget and funds to stimulate the economy.
