If you're headed to our nation's capital over the holiday season, you'll probably find it more expedient to take mass transit than to use a car to get around to all the sites. Make sure you notice the grand new vehicles the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority has in service–they contracted with North American Bus Industries for 22 new 60 foot BRTs (Bus Rapid Transit). These articulated buses use Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and will be found on routes in DC and suburban Maryland, as well as a demonstration project on a route to Dulles Airport.
