The 2008 Missouri Public Transit Association Conference will be held August 10-12, 2008 in Lake Ozark, Missouri, approximately 175 miles from St. Louis, Missouri,home of the St. Louis Cardinals, and approximately 170 miles fromKansas City’s Union Station, Kansas City’s premier entertainment destination for family and cultural activities.

Location


The conference will be held at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Lake Ozark, Missouri. The Lake w as created by the construction of Bagnell Dam. The shoreline of Lake of the Ozarks is, incredibly, greater than 1,150 miles, more than the coastline of the entire state of California; this allows visitors and residents to enjoy a plethora of recreational activities.  These activities include two scenic state parks, boats, boating, camping, parasailing, water-skiing, spelunking, water parks, excursion cruises, scuba-diving, bungi-jumping, tubing, swimming, horseback riding, mountain biking, golf, miniature golf, fishing, and more.
