Midwest Driver Celebrates 20 years with OATS, Inc.

(Sedalia, Missouri, May 3, 2011)

Debra Taylor, Midwest driver of 20 years, has dedicated her life to helping the community. Along with being an OATS driver, she sold Avon makeup for 27 years and has been a Holden school bus driver for almost 25 years. Debra puts her heart and soul into each and every job.

In 2007, Debra was nominated by one of her riders for the Holden Image Community Betterment Award. She was presented with a plaque and flowers for making Holden a "better place to live and shop," and says, "It was really an honor to be recommended by one of my riders."

Debra also plans a yearly trip to Branson through OATS. For nearly 15 years, she has booked various shows and motel rooms for approximately 19 senior citizens, making it possible for them to enjoy a one-night getaway. Debra is currently scheduling the next Branson trip for June 7-8 and looks forward to continuing it in the years to come.

Midwest Regional Director, Tracy Walkup says, "It is incredible to have someone like Debra working at OATS who knows how to connect with everyone she meets. She’s dedicated to helping the community and sincerely enjoys building relationships with her riders."

Debra hopes to continue working at OATS as long as possible. "I really enjoy getting to know the habits of my regular riders. It’s important to learn how to help each individual and to assist with each of their special needs."
