When you don’t have a car, public transportation may be your only means of getting where you need to go. Funding issues in St. Louis County are threatening some of the Metro routes. That could translate to employees who have no way of getting to work. The North County Journal spoke to several individuals who say they would be dramatically impacted if their bus stopped running.
A one-half cent sales tax increase is on the November ballot. If voters don’t pass the measure, some officials say routes could begin dropping off by next June.
