MPTA welcomes APTA For State of Transit on Capitol Hill at Conference

Andrew Brady, Senior Director Government Affairs, with the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) will be talking transit on Capitol  Hill at the upcoming Missouri Public Transit Association Conference and Expo in Springfield, MO August 6-8.   Mr. Brady will be the Monday morning keynote on transit funding on the federal front.

Brady manages APTA’s team of lobbyists and is responsible for developing and executing its federal advocacy strategy on behalf of the public transportation industry.

Brady previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director to former Rep. Richard Hanna (NY-22), advising the Congressman on transportation, health care and financial services policy.  He also worked as Professional Staff to the Highways and Transit Subcommittee of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he focused on public transportation, motor carrier and behavioral safety issues in developing the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act.

Prior to his time on Capitol Hill, Brady worked as a Legislative Assistant in the Congressional and Public Affairs division of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and on behalf of the Chamber-led Americans for Transportation Mobility (ATM) Coalition.

Brady graduated from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. with a B.A. in Political Science with a focus on public policy.
