The 2017 MPTA Conference will provide the opportunity to meet with other transit professionals, stakeholders, elected officials and interested citizens to shape policy, develop networks, and collaborate to share knowledge and create new ideas for transit in Missouri. Highlights will include:
Monday’s Keynote Nidhi Gulati, Program Manager for the Emerald Network, an initiative of LivableStreets Alliance. The Emerald Network is a vision for 200 miles of seamless greenways across the Metro Boston area, creating an urban recreation and transportation system that is safe and convenient for all. Nidhi will present at the luncheon on Monday, “Making Transit Lovable in our Communities.”
Tuesdays’ keynote is Siphiwe Baleka, the founder of Fitness Trucking, LLC and the Driver Health and Fitness Coach at Prime Inc., a commercial trucking company based in Springfield, MO with approximately 6,700 drivers. He is the author of 4 Minutes to Fitness.
Workshops will range from Transit innovations in Missouri, to driver motivation, to emergency preparedness to livable communities and transit.
